A mahogany serpentine front Chest in the manner of Chippendale

3,650.00

Antique 19th c serpentine chest of drawers in the manner of Thomas Chippendale. Constructed in plum pudding mahogany. The chest has three graduated drawers & a brushing slide, the whole standing upon cabriole legs. The bails & escutcheons are in gilt bronze. This piece  comes with the caveat that it is an altered piece, we believe it to be converted from a plain 18th c serpentine chest sometime in the late 19th c.
