This is a superior quality example of a genuine Antique English early Victorian circa 1845 prestigious Rosewood ‘metamorphic’ adjustable height Music Stand / Occasional Table . The serpentine shaped top adjusts to a horizontal position which turns the piece from a Music Stand into an elegant small Side Table once again of adjustable height. The lower column has bold carved turnings including a Tulip. Below are three out swept cabriole legs with decoratively foliate carved knees and lower upward scrolled feet.
