The backs of the show timber frames are basically circular hence the term ‘balloon’ back and the waist rail is nicely carved and features a central pierced Laurel reef with opposed carved up swept stylised folate scrolls. The seat rails follow the French influence as the side seat rails are curved and the front seat rail is of serpentine form. The front legs are nicely turned and tapered featuring bold long reeds. while the rear legs are of sabre form.
The seats are fully upholstered and sprung with rolled and stitched edges which is best for maximum comfort.
