This is a lovely and very good example of a genuine French mid 19th century gilt and bevelled over Mantle Mirror in the Louis XVI manner. and of good quality and proportions. Basically of vertical rectangular form with top curved outer and inner frame which both feature fine pastille work. Made in the Paris around 1865.

The crest is embellished with a central urn / vase with Flowers and either side are opposed Cherubs with trailing trellses of leaves.

The inner central silvered mirror plate is beveled while those in the outer panels are not.

Condition: Over all near excellent for age.
