Antique English georgian regency period gilt Convex Mirror.

This is a good and hard to find genuine antique English early 1800s Georgian Regency period circular Convex Wall Mirror.

The circular turned timber frame has a base of gesso below the gilt finish has an internal carvetto arch complimented by a ring of balls within is a black ( Ebonised ) nicely reeded slip and a ( later ) beveled convex mirrored plate.

At the top is a stylised rocky mound with a platform top mounted by an Ebonised carved timber Eagle with out spread wings and a turned head. On either side are opposed scrolls of trailing leaves.

Condition: Very good however not totally original due to some later gilding to the frame

Size: Height 94cm x Width 63cm.

Price: Was $3,975 now on sale for $3,485.

Sellers observation: This is a very good buy as if it was totally original even in bad condition it would bring a considerably higher price.
