This is a very high quality example of a genuine antique English ( Georgian ) George IV period Chiffonier / small Side Board with many features. This piece is very well constructed and finished in imported prestigious desirable Central American Rosewood of excellent figuring and colour from Brazil.

The high back has a three quarter pierced brass three quarter gallery.

Below are two suspended shelves canter levering from the back board while the top shelf is supported by six tall slender turned columns. which have decorative ring turnings.

The frieze section has two concealed drawers as they just look like part of the paneled front. Below are a pair of rectangular vertically paneled drawers with quality ( and expensive Brass X grill inner panels. Either side are recessed full height vertical panels.All supported on a platform base with tapered and reeded feet.

The top shelf, top and bottom of the frieze section and vertical stylised piiasters are all embellished by split turned beaded moldings. The Rosewood finish to the doors is crossbanded.doors

Condition: Excellent commensurate with age and light use.
