Antique English 18th century Oak Dresser.

This is a good character filled genuine antique English Georgian period Oak Dresser complete with its original plate rack made in the later 18th century / later 1700s and is constructed from solid wide boards of well figured medium coloured solid Oak..

The multi shelved top plate rack for China, Pewter, Copper and Brass items etc has the shelves held horizontal by the original wide Pine back boards. The plate rack has a plain pediment below a small concave cornice and the vertical sides supports are nicely shaped in profile.

The base storage cabinet is rectangular in form and has three fielded paneled side by side top drawers with the middle drawer narrower and all are all complete with brass escutcheons and brass drawer pull handles. Below the wider drawers which have raised panels are corresponding vertical cupboard doors which once again have brass escutcheons and door pull knobs however the panel below the smaller central drawer is a fixed panel. Both sides of the base are also paneled with recessed solid Oak panels.

Condition: Overall excellent commensurate with its considerable age and use.

Price: Was $5,500 now reduced to $4,500.
