Antique English early 1800s George III period Mahogany Pembroke Table...SOLD.

This is a good example of a genuine antique early 1800s George III period Pembroke Table made from imported Honduran Mahogany of nice figuring now nicely mellowed to a warn “nut brown’ colour.

The rectangular top has a rectangular drop leaf to either long side which may be supported by two support swing brackets beneath. The central support column is well turned and features a lower cluster of ring turnings. From the small cylindrical vertical base flow four compass point shaped downward and outward swept tapering legs which terminate in brass sabots with their original castor assemblies beneath. The frieze has a full width draw at one end and a faux drawer at the other end. Both drawers have original decorative cast bras drawer pull knobs.

Condition: Extremely good original condition.
