Antique Englis Georgian circa 1800 Mahogany Demi Lune Card Table.

A$2,485.00

This is a very good quality genuine antique English George III Card / Games Table. The table is of the later 1700s elegant Sheraton style with its pleasing demi lune shape and the refined square tapering legs. Sections of the table are made from solid imported Central American Mahogany while other sections are finished in thesame timber which is of mellow warm colour. The top has a peremeter Mahogany decorative crossbanding which has both inner and outer Ebony fine line inlays.

When the top is folded over and rested upon the two rear gatelegs for support a cloth lined playing surface with a Mahogany crossband perimeter is revealed and with the rear gate legs in position all four people can sit comfortably at the table.

Some people never use these tables for cards etc. however prefer to use them as practical and elegant Side Tables or as Hall Consules / Tables.

Condition: Structurally sound. Timber excellent. Finish Excellent and thetop has been professionally refurbished.. Currently lined with green felt however a woven wool baize is a better option and can be organised on your behalf at a trade price and in the colour of your choice
