Antique English George III period later 1700s fold over Mahogany Tea Table.

This is a very good later 1700s Georgian ( George III ) solid best quality heavy and well figured Cuban Mahogany fold over gate leg Occasional Tea and Supper Table.

These tables make excellent Side Tables and Hall Consoles / Tables

The front is of rarer serpentine form and has a small drawer to the front frieze. The sides are also nicely serpentined and the table top has a nice rounded edge molding.

With the rear gate leg in position the hinged top just folds over and the leg takes the weight. The elegant legs are Sheraton in style so are squared and tapered. As a quality touch the bottom of the apron (frieze ) has a fine line inlay which is also featured on the legs.

Condition: Desirably untouched original. One leg requires minor attention which will be professionally attended to.Size: ( closed ) - Width 92cm x Depth 46cm x Height 75cm.
