This is a very good quality example of a genuine antique English William IV 1830s swivel and fold over top Card Table however these tables also may be used as Games Tables, Side Tables, Hall Tables / Consoles and even bed Side Tables. The finished surfaces are crafted from both solid and selected feature well grained veneers of prestigious imported Brazilian Rosewood which has now mellowed to a lighter honey colour.

This is a piece for those who prefer lighter coloured furniture however still want quality.

This swivel and fold over top table when opened reveals a baize lined inset playing surface with an outer rosewood cross banded border.

The recessed frieze follows the shape of the top with its rounded corners and has a central panel witha raised rectangular framewith decorative inner beading.

The top section is supported on a central downward flared turned centre column with a beaded lower ring collar. The whole sits on a shaped quadruped base which flows into curved / scrolled feet which are embellished with circular patera on either side and have their brass castor assenblies beneath.

Condition: Excellent for its age and use.
