This is a very superior example of a fine quality genuine English later Victorian period circa 1890 Hexagonal Center Table / Occasional Table beautifully crafted from well figured and nicely coloured exotic prestigious imported Brazilian Rosewood and inlaid in the later 18th century manner. The whole table exhibits its design influences back to the famous later 1700s designer Thomas Sheraton.

The table is of hexagonal shape with a shallow apron and is supported on four squared and tapered legs which have spade feet and terminate in all brass castor assemblies plus are connected by a lower square shelf. The top has line inlays of Ebony and Satinwood while the apron has Satinwood panels with Ebony geometric parquetry inlay in the form of a trellis. The legs are also Ebony panelled on all four sides with border Satinwood line inlays between each raised ebony moldings.
